- manually check soil moisture levels
- watering and adhering to any custom routines (distilled only, bottom watering, etc)
- humidity control (cleaning out, refilling humidifiers or pebble trays)
- visually check for signs of stress
- photo updates if desired

House Plant Sitting currently does not conduct background checks on plant sitters. Sitters displaying the “Identity Verified by Didit” badge have completed identity verification through Didit using government-issued ID, facial verification, and fraud prevention checks. Identity verification is an added trust signal, but plant owners should still review each sitter’s profile, services, ratings, reviews, and messages before booking.
