Describe the plant-sitting services you offer
Going away shouldn’t mean coming home to sad plants. I provide thoughtful, attentive care that follows the routine your plants already know. I pay attention to the little things, from how the soil feels to changes in leaves, placement, drainage, and overall appearance. Whether you have a few favorite houseplants or a home full of greenery, I’ll give them the time and attention they deserve. And because I know plant people worry about their babies, I’m happy to send photos and updates while you’re away.
What experience do you have caring for plants?
My experience comes from caring for plants in my own environment and learning to pay attention to what they need rather than treating every plant the same. I’m comfortable following detailed watering, lighting, and care instructions, and I’m very observant when something looks different or needs attention. I may not be a professional horticulturist, but I am patient, careful, and willing to follow your plant’s established routine exactly.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
I’m comfortable caring for houseplants, tropical plants, succulents, herbs, flowers, patio and container plants, and outdoor greenery. I’m also comfortable with larger plant collections as long as I’m provided with the owner’s normal care routine. Every plant is different, so I’m happy to follow specific instructions rather than assume one routine works for everything.
What will you do during a typical visit?
During a typical visit, I’ll check each plant individually, assess the soil and overall condition, and follow your specific instructions for watering, rotating, placement, or other care. I’ll clean up any fallen leaves or water, make sure everything is left neat, and send photos and a quick update before I leave. I’ll also let you know if I notice anything unusual so you’re never left wondering how your plants are doing.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
My professional background in law enforcement and security has taught me that trust is earned through consistency, accountability, attention to detail, and respect for other people’s property. When I commit to a visit, I show up, follow your instructions carefully, and communicate with you throughout the process. I understand that allowing someone into your home is a big deal, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m completely comfortable with security cameras during visits and will only access the areas necessary to care for your plants. After each visit, I’ll provide a personalized plant check in with photos and little observations I noticed, whether that’s new growth, a change in the leaves, a plant whose soil was still moist, or anything that may need your attention.
