Describe the plant-sitting services you offer
I provide attentive, reliable care for houseplants while you're away or simply need an extra hand. My services include watering based on each plant's individual needs, checking soil moisture, inspecting for pests or signs of stress, removing dead or yellowing leaves, rotating plants for even light, light pruning, and basic plant-area cleanup. I'm also happy to follow detailed care instructions for plants with specific routines and provide photo updates so you can see how your plants are doing while you're away.
What experience do you have caring for plants?
I’m an enthusiastic plant lover with hands-on experience caring for a growing collection of houseplants. I regularly manage watering schedules, soil and light needs, pruning, propagation, repotting, and pest prevention and treatment. I’ve learned to pay close attention to each plant rather than following a one-size-fits-all watering schedule, and I’m comfortable recognizing common signs of overwatering, underwatering, pest issues, and changes in light needs. While my experience has primarily been caring for my own plants, I genuinely enjoy learning about plant care and would treat every client’s collection with the same attention and care I give my own.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
I’m comfortable caring for a wide variety of plants, both indoors and outdoors. My houseplant experience includes pothos, monstera, spider plants, snake plants, Chinese evergreens, begonias, money trees, string of hearts, polka dot plants, friendship plants, shamrocks, kalanchoe, Christmas cacti, and other tropical and succulent-type plants. I also have experience with propagation and more specialized plants, including Venus flytraps and pitcher plants.
Beyond houseplants, I enjoy traditional outdoor gardening and have experience growing and maintaining plants in a Tower Garden, including edible plants, herbs, and vegetables. I’m comfortable with routine garden care such as watering, monitoring plant health, pruning, harvesting, and checking for pests. I’m always happy to learn about a pl
What will you do during a typical visit?
During each visit, I'll follow your individual care instructions and check each plant before watering rather than automatically watering everything. I'll assess soil moisture, look for signs of pests, stress, overwatering, or other changes, and water plants according to their needs. I'll also remove dead or yellowing leaves, rotate plants when appropriate, tidy up the plant area, and complete any other requested plant-care tasks. I'm happy to send photos and a quick update after each visit so you know your plants are being well cared for.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
I’m dependable, organized, and very detail-oriented, and I take the responsibility of caring for someone else’s plants and home seriously. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and understand that every plant can have different watering, light, and maintenance needs. I’ll always respect your home, arrive when scheduled, communicate clearly, and never hesitate to reach out if I notice something concerning or have a question about a plant’s care. I’m also happy to provide photos and updates after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your plants are being well cared for while you’re away.
