I am a lifelong plant lover who took some time after Covid to gain hands-on plant experience with gardening at Gethsemane Garden Center on the north side of Chicago. This summer, I have taken on a few housesitting gigs for folks with extensive gardens and realized it’s a great way for me to trade my love, knowledge, and sensitivity to plant needs for temporary lodging as I’m traveling this summer! I am comfortable admitting what I don’t know, using Google to confirm water schedules for different species. I would love to keep an eye on your plants for you!
