What experience do you have caring for plants?
I have experience caring for plants through both my personal interest in gardening and my education at the University of Delaware. I have taken classes focused on plants and environmental studies, which gave me a better understanding of plant care and the environment. Outside of school, I have always enjoyed gardening and caring for my own plants. I’m comfortable with watering, checking soil moisture, rotating plants for proper sunlight, pruning, and general plant maintenance. I genuinely enjoy taking care of plants and would treat each one with the attention and care it needs.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
I’m comfortable caring for a wide variety of plants, including common houseplants, succulents, herbs, flowers, and outdoor garden plants. I’m familiar with different watering, sunlight, and soil needs and am always willing to follow specific care instructions for more sensitive or specialty plants. I also have experience with gardening and enjoy learning about new types of plants and how to care for them properly.
What will you do during a typical visit?
During a typical visit, I’ll check on each plant’s overall health, check the soil moisture, and water as needed based on its individual care routine. I can also rotate plants for proper sunlight, prune dead or damaged leaves, mist plants that need extra humidity, clean leaves, and check for pests or other issues. I’ll make sure everything is looking healthy before I leave and can provide photos or updates if requested.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
I’m a recent college graduate, so I’m looking to build up some extra work and income right now, which means I’m definitely going to take the job seriously! I’m responsible, organized, and dependable, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your plants, pets, or home. I’ll always show up when I say I will, follow your instructions carefully, and make sure everything is taken care of before I leave. Basically, I have bills to pay and a very strong motivation to do an excellent job!
