Describe the plant-sitting services you offer

I offer a range of plant care services designed to keep your plants healthy, whether you have a single fiddle leaf fig or a home full of greenery.

Plant Sitting: Heading out of town? I’ll visit your home to water, check on, and care for your plants while you’re away, following a schedule tailored to each plant’s needs.

Watering & Routine Care: Regular visits to handle watering, dusting leaves, rotating plants for even light, and keeping an eye out for early signs of trouble.

Repotting & Soil Care: I’ll repot plants that have outgrown their containers and mix the right soil blend for each species to support healthy roots and drainage.

Pest Treatment: If your plants are dealing with an infestation, I’ll identify the pest, isolate affected plants, and treat the problem before it spreads.

Plant Rescue: Struggling plant? I’ll assess what’s going wrong and help bring it back to health.

Bonsai Care: Pruning, shaping, and maintenance to keep your bonsai thriving.

Consultations: Personalized advice on light, watering, and setting up a care routine that fits your space and lifestyle.

What experience do you have caring for plants?

My plant journey started in 2020, when the pandemic had all of us spending more time at home. What began as a few houseplants on a windowsill quickly grew into a genuine passion, and a bit of a jungle. Today I care for more than 40 plants of my own, and many of them I’ve grown from seed. Raising plants from their very first sprout has taught me patience, attentiveness, and a real understanding of what each plant needs at every stage of its life.

Over the years I’ve gained hands-on experience across nearly every part of plant care. I know that watering isn’t one-size-fits-all, so I tailor schedules to each plant’s species, pot, light, and season, and I watch for the early signs of overwatering and underwatering. I understand soil, too: choosing and mixing the right blend for drainage, aeration, and nutrients, and knowing when a plant has outgrown its pot and is ready for a repot.

I also work with bonsai, which calls for careful pruning, shaping, and wiring, plus a steady eye for the long game. And when trouble shows up, I’m ready for it. I’ve identified and treated common pest infestations like spider mites, fungus gnats, mealybugs, and scale, and I know how to isolate an affected plant and treat it before the problem spreads to the rest of a collection.

Beyond the basics, I pay attention to the details that help plants truly thrive: light placement, humidity, fertilizing, propagation, and the seasonal changes that affect how plants grow and rest throughout the year.

Whether you need someone to care for your plants while you’re traveling, help reviving a plant that’s struggling, guidance setting up a care routine, or support with a growing collection, I’ll bring the same knowledge and attention I give my own. To me, every plant matters, and I’ll treat yours like part of my own family.

What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?

After years of growing and tending a collection of more than 40 plants, I’m comfortable caring for a wide variety of species, from easygoing houseplants to ones that need a little extra attention.

Tropical Houseplants: Pothos, philodendrons, monsteras, snake plants, ZZ plants, peace lilies, and other popular indoor favorites that thrive with the right balance of light and water.

Succulents & Cacti: Plants that need well-draining soil, plenty of light, and a careful hand with watering to avoid root rot.

Ferns & Humidity Lovers: Plants like Boston ferns, calatheas, and prayer plants that need consistent moisture and humidity to stay lush.

Bonsai: Trees that require regular pruning, shaping, and attentive watering to maintain their form and health.

Herbs & Edibles: Kitchen herbs and other edible plants grown indoors or on a patio.

Seedlings & Young Plants: Having grown many of my own plants from seed, I’m especially comfortable caring for delicate seedlings as they establish themselves.

If you have a plant that isn’t listed here, just ask. Chances are I’ve cared for it or something similar.

What will you do during a typical visit?

Every visit is focused on keeping your plants healthy, happy, and thriving while you’re away or busy. Here’s what a typical visit includes:

Watering: I water each plant based on its individual needs, checking moisture first so nothing gets overwatered or left too dry.

Soil Checks: I inspect the soil for moisture, compaction, and any signs of mold, pests, or root issues.

Dusting: I gently wipe dust from leaves so your plants can absorb light and breathe more easily.

Light Adjustments: I adjust lights, blinds, or plant placement to make sure each plant gets the right amount of light.

Humidity Checks: I monitor humidity levels and make adjustments for plants that need extra moisture in the air.

Tidying Up: I clean the areas around your plants, wiping up spills, fallen leaves, and stray soil.

You’ll come home to well-cared-for plants and a clean, tidy space. If additional care is needed, I'm always open to doing more to ensure plants remain healthy.

What makes you a reliable plant sitter?

I’m a big believer in open communication, because I know how much your plants mean to you. When I’m caring for them, you’ll never be left wondering how they’re doing.

I check in regularly and send updates after visits, often with photos, so you can see exactly how your plants are looking. If I notice anything unusual, like yellowing leaves, a pest problem, or soil that’s drying out faster than expected, I’ll let you know right away and talk through the best next steps with you. No surprises, just honest updates.

I typically respond to messages within minutes, so whether you have a quick question, a concern about a particular plant, or a special request, you can reach me easily. I’ll always make time to address your concerns and do my best to fulfill any request, big or small. If you’d like a plant moved, a watering routine adjusted, or just an extra photo of your favorite plant, simply let me know.

Every client and every plant is a little different, and I’m happy to tailor my updates to whatever works best for you. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease while your plants are in my care.
