Describe the plant-sitting services you offer
I use qualitative and quantitative methods to provide optimal care for your plant babies. As part of routine maintenance I clean leaves, do preventative pest care, water, and fertilize. Additionally, I am happy to repot root bound plants or ones that need a soil refresh. After assessing light conditions I offer rearranging plants for optimal growth. I can also do intensive care for emergency pest treatment, propagating and completely changing the soil if necessary.
What experience do you have caring for plants?
I have a PhD in soil sciences and have taken many plant courses during my graduate career. My soil and plant knowledge has allowed me to successfully garden for five years and keep indoor plants happy for four years.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
I am comfortable caring for airoid (philodendron, pothos), epiphytic (orchids, hoyas), and succulent (jade plant, string of hearts) indoor plants.
What will you do during a typical visit?
What I do during a typical visit will depend on client needs and health condition of the plants. It can range from routine watering to pest treatment. It can also include trimming dead leaves, repotting, or leaf cleaning.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
I have pay high attention to detail and I am clear communicator. I make sure there is mutual understanding between my client and I by asking questions, listening, and taking notes. I am very observant which helps readjust plant care quickly to prevent issues from becoming worse. I take care about cross contamination and keep everything neat and tidy.
