Describe the plant-sitting services you offer
I am a big fan of outdoor gardens and patio/porch gardens. Container gardens are great too. I water, fertilize, check for diseases, deficiencies and pests. I will trim and prune as needed. I can propagate as required. I love planting and transplanting. I will pot and repot.
What experience do you have caring for plants?
I've been literally caring for plants both outdoors and indoors since I was 11 years old. Plants have been nonstop in my life at all times since then - that's over 20 years. That makes me highly experienced when it comes to making sure plants thrive.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
Any and all. I speak their language. I know where they come from (I have encyclopedic plant knowledge) and as a result it makes it easy for me to understand what a specific plant requires to be happy.
What will you do during a typical visit?
I won't limit myself to what I can or cannot do. When it comes to plants, I will do whatever is needed to make sure that they are growing happily. This can include watering, pruning, fertilizing, potting, re-potting, transplanting, propagating, etc.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
I am OCD about keeping plants alive and highly detail oriented when it comes to the lives of plants generally. I happen to truly care greatly about ensuring that plants are happy and well cared for. Not that this is a great thing, but I tend to tie my own well-being to the health and well-being of the plants that I am caring for at any given time.
