Describe the plant-sitting services you offer
Since different plants require different amounts of watering, I make sure your specific plants have the right soil-moisture needed. I check for signs of pests and can prune parts of plants that could cause deterioration to the rest of the plant. I enjoy rotating plants to make sure they are getting enough light to sustain an enriched life, whether that be turning the plant or if requested, changing the location of other plants that are inside your home. Your outdoor garden is no different. I weed out unwanted plants, prune dead leaves, and water your garden. I harvest fruits and vegetables from your garden and can place them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh for your arrival home. I pay attention to detail and will align with written requests and instructions.
What experience do you have caring for plants?
I myself, am a lover of plants. I have over twenty plants in my home. I have a garden outside that produces an abundance of fruits and vegetables each season. I am eager to try new plants in my home and outside in the garden which takes research and planning that I willingly investigate to ensure a successful life for the plants. I have created and maintained an outdoor classroom of plants for students to use during their school day.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
I have experience with caring for multiple types of plants. This includes but is not limited to succulents, tropical houseplants, fruit trees, fruit and vegetable gardens, vining plants, indoor trees, potted plants, orchids, herbs, outdoor containers, potato bins, and turning compost piles.
What will you do during a typical visit?
When I come to your home, I look for written instructions first. Following your instructions is my priority when it comes to your plant-babies. I tend to your plants, checking on the soil moisture as well as cleaning up any fallen leaves or debris. I will trim any dead leaves. This is the same for your outdoor garden. I walk around and check for signs of moisture, disturbance, or decay and care for the plants accordingly.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
I understand the importance of caring for plants. They bring life to your home and garden. They are part of the family. I will give your plants unbe-leaf-able support because I care for plants just as much you do. I have a reliable car that will get me to your home to keep a healthy environment for your plants. Your instructions will guide through the locations of your materials and the care they need to be there for when you get home.
