Describe the plant-sitting services you offer
Does your plant need a nanny? From simple watering to soil moisture checks, to spritzing and polishing, to rotation of plants, I will take good care of your plants as per your instructions. I will not do anything to a plant that is not required of me but I am great at pruning if need be. I also like to chat with all flora and fauna.
What experience do you have caring for plants?
I am a highly responsible person who has kept indoor plants and outdoor plants throughout my entire adult life (and I am 50!). I have experience with easy care plants such as snake and spider plants as well as harder to care for plants such as prayer plants and ferns. Succulents are a specialty of mine. When I lived in suburbia, I took care of outdoor plants of several varieties and kept windowboxes as well.
I thrive on clear communication, a strict routine and avoid all guesswork.
What types of plants are you comfortable caring for?
I understand that emotional connections to plants run deep. I can take care of tropicals, foliages and palms, container gardens, patio vegetable crops, hanging baskets and greenhouse setups. Any high-maintenance or rare species would require strict instructions.
What will you do during a typical visit?
As described above, I follow directions well and will take the time necessary to keep your plants alive and happy while you are away. My focus would be to arrive, assess the plants, follow instructions, have a chat and then leave. I am an experienced hobbyist who understands that while a plant may be part of a species, each plant is unique.
What makes you a reliable plant sitter?
I have a solidly good background of being an educator for decades. I look at plants as a pet entity all of their own. I am consistently on time and handle responsibility quite well.
